Captain Crux on the test bench!

In appreciation of our long-term committment to safety, crux -climbingholds were awarded with the official TÜV certificate by the Safety Standards Authority back in the golden October of 2004.

Safety:

Our products were tested for firmness / stability and exceeded the demanded break test values.
Our open form climbingholds prevent fingers from being caught or getting stuck. They can only be held with your physical strength.
Our holds have a homogeneous smooth surface, without sharp irritations, allowing elegant injury-free moves.
After the plastics are removed from the molds, loving care is taken to remove all sharp edges.
The surface is slightly roughened and then individually sanded down by hand.

Your very precious health:

According to the food and need object law §5Abs.1 Nr.1, our climbingholds are food-safe.
Your doctor prescribed a cholesterinfree diet for you well then you wrong here, our climbingholds are emission- and dissolvant –free. That is only a little different, but believe us they feel much better than they smell.
Free of heavy metal.
Free of harmful fibreglass, which could be released into the environment due to strong mechanical rib off.
Free of AZO-colourings.
Free of seperating chemicals.

Safety standards – weather permanent durability test:
(This test was not an official TÜV requirement. We requested this test to be performed merely to prove to ourselves that we have a superior product.) Crux-climbingholds were put to the test by UVCON (UV Condensation Weathering Device). Not only does this procedure sound very cool, but it simulates the exposure of our climbingholds to extreme weather conditions for a period of approximately 6-years.

Conclusion: Our climbingholds endured and no mechanical changes could be found. We were however slightly dissapointed that the safety standards authority was not that particularly interested in the fact that our climbingholds feel great in addition to their functionality. Something we suppose you only experience as a climber.
